Endres
Karen Endres grew up in a
European village in North Texas, a farming and
ranching area, where pioneering stories are
still being told. Her studies in literature and
her painting trips to France provided additional
experiences and reference materials for
expressing herself in art. She paints symbols
and metaphors from these backgrounds to
understand her life.
Her artwork includes:
writing children’s adventure cartoon books,
painting a book of geometric images and symbols
seen inwardly, painting her dreams, and teaching
workshops on expressing one’s inner voice in
art.
“I have lived in Bellvue,
Colorado, since 1993, and I am inspired by the
local hills and waters. I like my paintings to
be full of fun, whimsy, and color. I sometimes
call my art expressive symbolism.”
